Behind Ke Tortas

Hi, I'm Norma.

Born in Venezuela and raised with Chilean roots, I grew up in a family where food was always a way to show love. My passion for baking began with my mum. I would always watch her making sweets and loved helping her in the kitchen.

Later, I moved to Australia, where I started a new chapter of my life. When my daughter was born, something beautiful happened. I began making her birthday cakes, simple, sweet, and full of heart. What started as a way to create special memories for her slowly grew into something much bigger.

Though I've never studied pastry formally, everything I know comes from passion, persistence, and countless hours of practice. Starting my small business was scary, I doubted myself a lot. But I kept going. It's been a long journey, but I'm so proud of how far I've come.

Today, I make cakes and alfajores that honor my roots and bring people together, handmade with care, with the right amount of sugar, and bursting with flavour.
